The student panel occured during lunch and unfortunately I cannot eat and type at the same time. In summary this was a great group of kids who are doing great things. They believed the technology had a role in their learning but even more they talked about how personal their learning experiences were and how much they valued that.
We moved on to some roundtable discussions. They were a few pre-established conversations and then those folks who just got together and talked. I had the opportunity to begin some conversations with Julie at Falcon Creek Middle School who is a wonderful and passionate technology coordinator. I also spoke with one of the Littleton School Board members who was present. What a great thing to have her there. She shared a little about what they do and offered up a suggestion for our district tech council to rotate and meet at various schools throughout the district which I thought was a great idea. I also spoke with Donna, a great middle school French teacher from Jeffco.
At this point my brain was full. I did speak with Bud and lamented that I would love to have the opportunity to have connected a little more with folks in position similar to mine. There is often great opportunities for teachers to collaborate, and there is opportunities for district tech folks to collaborate but there are not so many opportunities for tech coordinators and folks who do technology staff development within their building to collaborate. He challenged me to do some thinking on this. I wonder how could we make some thing happen? Could we meet online? Could we meet face-to-face occasionally? I wonder if anyone would be interested in doing something like this? Hmmm???
Overall, this was a great conversation. A great place to spend a Saturday. I look forward to next year (hint, hint). And kudos to all the folks involved in putting it together.

Thanks for posting summaries of the sessions. I "attended" online but I thought it was great to see what other people thought about it and also in case I missed something (when real life interrupted).
Christine,
It was great to meet you too, though my brain was very full too by the time we had a chance to sit down and talk. Perhaps we'll have a chance to connect more at the next conference.
