I probably use only 10 of these and have 90 to go!:) One I used for the first time a couple of weeks ago was Skype. We talked to friends in Thailand. We were amazed at how well it worked! We are going to sign up soon, so that we can talk to our daughter in Lithuania over Christmas!
I counted how many I am currently using or have used in the past year and came up with 32. That's not too shabby. I am hoping to take a closer look at some of the tools mentioned. It is so scary that there are many of those things that I've never even heard of!
Wow! This is an intense list! I'm happy that I am using some of these tools currently, but I am also surprised by just how many tools there are that I'm completely unfamiliar with. I think this list helps to show how many opportunities we have as educators to continue learning. More importantly, this list shows the vast amount of opporunities we have to enhance the educations of our students.
After perusing the PowerPoint regarding the top 100 tools for 2008, I have utilized in my classroom or used outside of school a few (The Microsoft stuff -PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc., Wikipedia, YouTube, ITunes, I Pod, Google Maps, Google Earth, Survey Monkey, Smart Boards) but would love to integrate many.
I think I am going to try the NING tool to set up discussion boards for each class. It should be interesting. I also want to SKYP (I think I spelled it wrong). There are so many tools to look at. I wish I had a couple of days just tpo play around with the tools, and build a couple of lessons.
